A panel pilot bit has a pointed tip for plunge cuts and an integral solid pilot. It is designed for fast cut-out work and is used extensively in the mobile home and recreation vehicle industries. The single-flute version cuts fast and produces an acceptable finish.
Some contractors use this bit to cut out the electrical point installation holes in dry-walling projects. Pro-Tech router bits cut through a variety of materials from wood, plywood, MDF and other wood composites, plastics, and solid surfaces.

This router bit has a 6.35mm shank (shaft) that will fit most small routers. Please ensure that you select a router bit with a shank (shaft) size that will fit into your router collet.
